Help!Regal Dies when driving slow/ while stopped
My 92 Buick Regal 3.8 Custom dies when I am driving slowly or stopped. It starts again right away, but this happens almost every time I drive. Does anyone know what the first things I should try to fix this problem are??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nick Fogle |

Re: Help!Regal Dies when driving slow/ while stopped
Welcome to AF.
First I would check fuel pressure to see if it is in specs. How old is the fuel filter? Also, check all vacuum lines around the upper intake manifold and throttle body. How is the idle when you first start the engine and after a short warmup time before going into any gear?

Re: Help!Regal Dies when driving slow/ while stopped
After you finish the previous rec's if it isn't fixed try spraying carb cleaner along the intake manifold. Then pinch off the vacuum line to the vacuum booster. Also spray around the base of the injectors as an air leak will cause rough idle. The spray will immediately smooth the engine if the intake is leaking.
