Should I worry about high miles?

Tomorrow I'm going to check out an '01 coupe, M5, with 160k miles. He says they are all highway, but that still seems to be alot for an '01. From what I can tell in the pics it looks to be in great shape.

So, is there anything specifically I should check out? I've never had a car this new, with that many miles, so thats why I am concerned.

P.S. He asking $2000 for it, that pretty fair, right?

Re: Should I worry about high miles?

Man I am a dumb banana!!! lol my bad bro never heard M5 standing for manual 5spd.

Well high miles are ok as long as the car was well maintained. $2K seems pretty fair to me for that car. You could probably expect to get around 250K with the car before the engine would need to be replaced, thats my guess.

You might want to consider just saving that $2K and saving some more for a car that has some less miles so you dont have to worry about problems anytime soon.

Ya, are these 2.2's like the S-series ones, where the valves seals wear out about 150k?

And my99, I could spend more, I'd just rather not. Its just going to be a daily driver till Feb. then, I'll sell it before I go to Iraq.
