teh Wicked 1

i'm back guys (for those of u who remember from a year ago), hows it goin?

I've been contemplating on making the Wicked One. How much time/money do you think would go into this project should i put all my attention and effort into it? I'm asking so i can better schedule my workload around school and work, as in when to buy the drivers, when to buy the amp, etc... (i am going to buy each component seperately, and i intend on completing the wicked one before i buy the drivers or amp. This is so i can space out my credit card payment, lol)

also, while i'm at it, I just want to know where i can find a really cheap mider saw... that is the tool i want to cut angled edges, right? i'm not too knowledgeable on power tools, sorry. all i have at the moment is a power jig-saw i bought to make my previous enclosure.

lastly, for a driver, i've been thinking maybe 2 Eminence H10C's?

Re: teh Wicked 1

I usually call them a circular saw since i dont have a workshop, or use my grandfathers table saw if im feeling up to the challenge of wrestling it out of his shed.

I remember you vinny, also remember bumpinstang, manny who i havent seen on here lately and fryman but he got banned. I was one of the noobs about that time.

And please post some links i dont frequent many of the big audio boards and i usually stick to more mechanics than anything. And the wicked one is this

http://www.decware.com/whorn.htm

wasnt jet-lee building these in scale.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: teh Wicked 1

sorry to get off-topic here, but fryman got banned!? i know Jet-Lee got banned, but everyone on AF and their mother saw that coming.

Jet had told me to get in touch with him if i ever build this monster. If i really do make the final decision to put another hole in my wallet, i'll just have to talk with him on aim.

I see manny once in a while on SIn, i don't post there really, just read up on topics for info.

Re: teh Wicked 1

I didn't know jet got banned, CB got permanently banned a few weeks later after his one week ban. I think Manny left on his own after his Integra buddy had all of his names banned.

Re: teh Wicked 1

Jet got banned about a month ago i think, he was being a prick and dicking around with the moderators and administrators on the off topic boards.

Re: teh Wicked 1

Jet was an idiot IMO, but thats another topic that dosen't need to be discussed here.

Didn't I see this post on another board though??

But the Wicked one dosent' look like to hard of a build, just take your time with it and double check before the cuts. Don't forget to make the top removable so you can get to your drivers.

*checked and saw that you posted on CSO also*

Re: teh Wicked 1

haha, yeah. i got a lot of help before i put together my current setup from there, too. honestly, right now i'm thinking maybe i'll wait for spring. i'll set aside money specifically for this project and i won't be racing the clock to finish before winter hits. (I don't have a garage, so i'll be working outside... don't want to be wiring and sawing and all that when its 20 degrees outside)
this should also give me plenty time to plan out the design, make a proper "blueprint" to work off of.
