01' Maxima Exhaust/Intake Suggestions?
At the moment, My 2001 Max (5 speed manual) is bone stock other than some HID's, I am looking to put a full catback exhaust system and an intake on it, any suggestions for some not-too-ricey sounding catbacks*but still loud* and the same goes for the intake or any other suggestions you guys might have. I am pretty open to it!

Re: 01' Maxima Exhaust/Intake Suggestions?
In my personal experience cattman and stillen make the nicest sounding systems. i got my cattman for my 2k2 for $600 and it was pretty easy to install, fitment was perfect. the stillen i had on my 95 maxima and it also sounded great, but was a little pricey. as far as intakes, an apexi power intake is good, berk is a popular one, to be honest though an intake is an intake, it just depends really if you want a coldair or a warm air. ustavoid intakes that use foam or paper filters because they havea tendency to mess up the cars MAFS.

Re: 01' Maxima Exhaust/Intake Suggestions?
Well, i've seen the el cheapo intakes, but as long as the filter isn't paper or foam then it should be set right?*like the sound won't really make any difference or the performance won't?*
And, the same goes for the exhaust, 600 bucks is alittle much for me to spend on it. I probally got about 1/3 as much to spend, and I can come to terms with something that's cheaper, as long as it's loud and does it's job performance wise. Also, this may sound dumb, but would it better to get a full catback or go y-pipe and muffler tip? |
