First thing that pops into view is dragging brakes on one side caused by a nonretracting caliper piston or slider pins that aren't slidding. Remove both wheels and compare brake pad thickness between the left and right side. If one side (the hot side) is thinner, that's a good indication of the problem. Does the car act like the alignment is out ie, does it pull towards the hot wheel side?

Thank you for the reply..there seem to be no pull towards either direction . either while driving or breaking. The particular wheel didn't seem outrageously hot but, to the tough, it WAS warmer than the other. Perhaps the piston iisn't retracting properly. I shall considere that option first. Again, I really appreciate input from people who know much more than I do about vehicles....I honestly am NOT mechanically inclined and also have a tendancy sometimes to worry more about things than would someone who "knows" cars.
