96 Jetta, has spark, gas, compression - but no start
Well the title pretty much says it but I will add some more info. I have 36 psi fuel pressure, I have blue spark at each plug, and my noid light blinks at each injector when I crank the car. I also have 150 psi compression per cylinder. Seems to me that this thing should run or at least start but when its cranked it doesn't even fire!
The car died once while driving and was towed home a few days later it started up but died after a short drive. The spark plugs were all replaced after it died the first time. Any one have any ideas? |

Re: 96 Jetta, has spark, gas, compression - but no start
You may have a timing problem. You may want to remove an injector to be sure they aren't severly plugged (not a likely thing, but not impossible). If you're injecting fuel and shooting a spark and it's not kicking, the timing is the only thing I can think of that's left. You may want to check your position sensors to make sure they're not giving a bad signal to the injectors.
