stupid noob blowoff valve question

because this is my first project of turbocharging any vehicle, i am wondering where exactly do i need to emplace the blowoff valve. i have seen basic diagrams which say i need to insert it into the piping of which connects from the compressor side of the turbo to the throttle body. one diagram also said that their would need to be some sort of piping inserted AFTER the throttlebody to the BOV as well... if someone could clarify some of this, and provide a very descriptive diagram for me, that would be awesome.

... and no, i dont want a compressor relief valve, thank you.
