Saw my first 350Z in person today
I was driving to the mall to pick up some stuff for my friend, and while I was driving there what should I see but a brand spanking new 350Z! I must say, most of the pictures you see online do not do it justice, the styling and lines are very nice. I only have one downside to it, the rear tail-lamps curl around to the topside of the rear quarter-panel MUCH farther then I thought. The trunk actually looks like it may a little bit too big for a sportscar, and with tail-lights wrapping around so far, it really accentuates how long it is. However, they sound quite mean, and even though the woman who was driving it didn't gas it at all, you could still tell that the 287hp from a NA engine is well spent. One key thing that most people said that they disliked about the new 350z was the amber light stripe that runs vertical to the front lamps, however during the day they flow very well (I wonder what they look like at night).
Anyway, just thought I would share that with ya guys. This is the upside of living in Scottsdale, you see the newest of new cars everyday. |

Yeah, the 350Z is pretty big for a sports car. Lengthwise, it is longer than my maxima.

When I saw the concept, I was worried. But they actually turned out pretty darn attractive. Though, if I'd been on the styling commitee I would have put that belt line about three inches lower. I follow Raymond Loewy's school of restyle; longer, lower, sleeker. Just look at a 1953 Studebaker Commander coupe. Beautiful, and aerodynamic.
