RX-8 VS G35 coupe VS new Eclipse GT

This happened on friday and was a pretty good run-in. I was driving my own business on my way to pick up my fiance from work. Out of no where I begin to get paced by a new eclipse, I couldnt tell if it was a regulaer one or a gt so I payed no attention to it. As we continued he kept rocking back and forth accelerating and letting off to try and bait me, I figure its a regular one since those are the ones I see most of the time. Well he moves enought to let me see the GT clearly marked on the back so I figure okay I'll do it. We are at a red light and when it goes green we both take off, I got a good start on him putting a car from the start and keeping him there. We soon caught up to very light traffic (since the whole city was working at this time) and I began to put more cars as I out manuvered him.

Well I get to another long red light and There was a G35 coupe with two highschool kids in there. They start revving at me, I look at them and ask "nice car, mommy and daddy buy it for you?"
"none of your business," he says to me, (by this time the Eclipse has caught up and stopped next to the G35) "you wanna run or not?" he asks me.
I look at him and chuckle a bit " Kid I know this road and I know the highway coming up, your about 2 years to early to be wanting to race me, I tell you what though, I will give you 2 cars when this light changes and then I will follow." the kid nods and when the light goes green he takes off along with the eclipse. True to my word a waited a few seconds as he put 2 cars and I followed. As we were coming on to the merging highway we seemed to have lost the eclipse and so it was down to me and the 2 kids.

Just as I said that I knew this highway, I warned him, The highway has 2 turns that most people, especially inexperienced drivers tend to brake at pretty quickly, and sure enough at the first turn the kid broke and I got to his side, the next turn and I put a car on him, on the straight I had it in 3rd and at 6k and I just slammed on the gas leting it go to redline and shifting to stay in my power band. The kid tried to accelerate to catch up but he just couldnt and I had well more than 4 cars on him.

Man, sounds like your having fun with the new car. You're gonna be getting a lot of races with that Rx-8

Dont know if I will be getting alot of races but I had my first controlled drift the other night, that was fun.

Im just saying it sounds like your car is attracting some people, at least more than the jetta would.

More people break their necks to look at my car than the jetta, but cause of the blow off, intake and, turbo I got a ton of races in the jetta, I'm actually driving the jetta today, so i'm evil today.

sweet. i want races. everytime i seem to see the ricers, i am going to work. that blows....

your makin me crave a rx-8 again. thats not a good ting speaking as i am going to be graduating this year and plan on going to college.

Eh, I'm in college, it took me 2 years to get the RX-8 since I was about to buy it back in 04 after I graduated, but the my diamante died when I was almost ready to buy it, I wouldve been ready in february of 2005 but the car died in december so I had to get another temporary car which was my celica. Again I was getting ready to buy the 8 but my celica was having problem so I had to trade it to get another car which was the jetta which again was in december. And 8 months later I managed to get the 8 thanks to musashi for helping me out and pushing me to get the car, since I was able to afford it.
