93 Nissan pickup high beams

I have a 93 Nissan pickup and the high beams don't work. I have had no problems with the low beams, but when I flip the high beam switch on the column both head lights go out. I recently replaced the head llights so I know the lights aren't the problem. Alll the fuses for the head lights are fine. I have a Chilton's book and it doesn't show any other fuses or relays. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I assume there is a relay somewhere that the Chilton's diagram doesn't show.

Thanks

Re: 93 Nissan pickup high beams

Probably a problem with the switch or ground. Look for corrosion on the connectors or worn and blacked connections. If you have a multimeter you can check to make sure you have voltage going to the lights through the switch.

I have seen the switch go. If you pull back very slow, sometimes you'll see the high beams come on then go out when it clicks. thats one way of checking, But most likely it's the switch , that was just one way to confirm it. depending upon it's condition internally.
