Need help with 93 coupe dissy problem

ok heres my problem. I got a check engine light and it was a code 4 (crank position sensor), so i replaced it with a working one and resetted the computer and i still got a check engine light (code 4). The car runs a little better now with the new sensor but i cant stand having a check engine light on. It doesnt come on right away, i have to drive a little ways for it to come on.

There may be a problem in the circuit. Trace the wires from the sensor and check if any have been frayed or damaged.
