2000 GT Coolant light

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've visited or posted anything on the site. Anywayz, this past week my coolant light would come on about a block after pulling out of my driveway. I opened the resevior and it was low, so I added some in there. Just curious whether or not anybody has any ideas on why it was low...It has like 69,000 miles on it, already had the LIM gaskets changed, new thermostat awhile back...I started the car back up and let it run for awhile...leaving the cap off. the level just kept on rising...I had to turn the car off before it overflowed. I did notice that my 2 cooling fans were on, which surprised me a bit. I remember reading awhile back that they shouldn't come on til about 215 degrees. Any help, tips are appreciated....thanks guys, it's good to be back.

Hey shyguy5885 !
The cooling fans should come on between 220-230 deg.

How long ago did the LIM get changed?
Havent noticed any coolant under the car?

Re: 2000 GT Coolant light

If thiers no puddles and its not in the oil , it could hav just overflowed and been low.

If the fans just run all the time could be a relay for the fans bad. #'s 8 fuse, 14 & 15 mini relay and #52(mini fuse) under the hood fusebox.

I'd keep an eye on it tho, just to be sure its not leaking into the oil. Thats no good.
