Valve Cover Question
I took out my Valve Cover to get powdercoated about 2 weeks back. I covered the remaining block with an old towel and sheet for lack of anything better that i had. When i covered it everything was clean with a coat of oil on the cams. I took the towel off yesterday and I see surface rust on the cams. The car sits outside with a cover. Is this anything to worry about and will it go away when the car is started or should i worry about wiping away the rust and trying to clean it before i put the valve cover back on? Sorry mods, not sure which section this belongs.

Re: Valve Cover Question
I would think its ok to run. Its probably just like your rotors get when they set for a rainy day and then you go out the next day and they are rusty.

Re: Valve Cover Question
I wouldn't worry about it unless it's been sitting that way for a really long time.
