91 sl2 automatic trans

can someone tell me if i can put a different year auto trans in this ? or do i have to stay with 91.

You probably want to stay with 94 and older. Anything newer than that and you're getting into OBDII stuff. I know, 96 and up is OBDII but 95's can be weird.

ive been told that the mounting is different on the 91 but it was possible to modify 92 93 possibly 94 but i dont know what the mod would entail thanks for the reply

use a 91 or 92 with a DOHC engine, the trans design changed midyear 93
