Bicycle in trunk

Has anybody tried putting the back seat down and putting a bike in through the trunk? I know a child's bike will fit back there but I'm talking about an adult bike.

Re: Bicycle in trunk

remove the front wheel and gain about a foot of space (24" rim) remember to take tools with you to put the wheel back on, usually one wrench. it should fit then with no problem, at most you would need to move the passenger seat foward a little. the biggest thing is getting it in and out of the car, as it is awkward.
