New Exhaust??

I'm putting on my new catback exhaust tonight. I was looking at my exhaust earlier and I noticed this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVqlE3r6S6w

Do all of our cars have two resonators?

Re: New Exhaust??

Never heard of that before, maybe one's a catalytic converter and the other is a resonator or it could be another cat. It's hard to tell from the video, you should use a cam with flash or just get more lighting.

Re: New Exhaust??

I have no idea man, it looks like Magnaflow to me, that's the resonator right? Some one probly gave it a new exhaust before you and the little resonator came with the piping.

Re: New Exhaust??

First one is your catalyic converter... then your Second o2 sensor, then your factory resonator..

I only saw the buldging objects. Magnaflow products have the Magnaflow raised on the side of them and shouldn't in anyway come off.

Re: New Exhaust??

well it doesn't matter because we couldn't do it ourselves anyway. Not with the tools we were blessed with in my Mother's garage...keyword mother... So we need a garage with REAL tools first...and definetly new bolts to go to the flange cuz mine are rusted like a son of a bitch, lol.

Re: New Exhaust??

okay I AM an idiot. The first piece was a piece of Flex Pipe....nothing....the second was my cat then my resonator..... After going to my friend's garage with Air Tools and a Grinder....we decided to let a professional do it, lol. My friend about lost his shoulder blade cuz the threads were stripped out of his grinder. Oh and the rusted as hell flange is currently holding strong with 1 1/2 bolts, lol.
