clunking noise please help

When i take off in first,I hear and feel a clunking noise under my feet, and i also hear it in other gears when i release the accelerator its just not as loud or as hard as it is when i take off. Theres also a clunk when i brake, Sound like some ones hitting the bottom of the car (where the petals are) with a two by four..any help would be greatly apreciated.

Could be a few things. Broken motor mount, bad ball joints, bad tie rods. Pop the hood and start looking.

Bad motor mount, likely the rear one, mines pretty shot and the engine bangs back an forth everytime.

Re: clunking noise please help

bad motor mount, as if everyone hasn't already said that, but like the other dude said if it was a tie rod or ball joint you would feel while your turnings as well as over turns. My freinds got a 98 grand am with shot tie rods, ball joints, and bushings and his car has a non-stop knock in the front end during accel deccel turning pot holes and basiclly every other imperfection in the road.
