RSX possibly back from the dead

Looks like a source from a magazine states that the 2007 RSX is going to be redesigned. Hopefully a turbo version that can compete somewhat with some of the other cars in it's class.

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

I would be happy to see them take a year off and totally redesign the car to more modern competitive standards. Keep it lightweight, make it handle even better! I'd love to see RWD or AWD.

And I would rather have a name than a letter-designation. I liked the Integra name.

Yes I'm on crsx. I don't post there anymore unless I have a question to ask, which is very rare.

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

Do you have pics of your car? Did you get those springs?

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

Here's a thread with a dark pic in the garage after purchasing the 17" rims and Pirelli's - http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=480533

Here's a pic of the rims close up after I painted the calipers - http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=505758

Since then all I've done is added some RSX logos to the calipers, painted the rear disc hub areas black, and put on a roof rack for the bikes.

I've got to take some nice pics after a wash and wax in the daytime soon and post!

I haven't bought the springs yet since something came up and don't have the $$ right now. I'm planning on purchasing them as soon as I get some extra $$. Probably sometime during the winter. I will probably do the install myself unless I can find a reputable place that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

I say just save up for coilovers. I got a friend that could get you a hook-up on the Megan Racing Street Series Coilovers, if ya want?

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

Acura is probably going to find that that meh-looking RDX is not going to command as big a market share as they had hoped. Certainly not enough to match RSX sales, or potential sales of a redesigned sport coupe. It would be a smart move- hope it's true. I'd bet my money on a turbo, too. After the RDX, there's no excuse not to apply the technology. Although I feel like they'd have to reconsider the engine/compression on a Type-S model to make a turbo really worthwhile.

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

Bonjourno beeetches.

In Canada they're brining the CSX Type S in November with 197hp, probably paddle shifters (the current CSX has it), and rumours of either SH AWD or SH-FWD like on the old Preludes. Its pretty much a 4 door RSX replacement.....

Re: RSX possibly back from the dead

Hmm....I don't want four doors...in fact, I still look at CRX's with a craving...I want one of those, modern engine, better suspension, and all wheel drive.

I looked at the Acura website and it seems that it only has 155 hp / 139 ft-lb and redlines at 6800 rpm. It's looks like a revamped version of the Civic EX with a little more hp/torque. Of course it has some nice features (HID's, side mirror turn signals, electronic brake distribution) but still not worth $25k. The Si is only $21k!

What's up with Acura rebadging a Honda Civic and jacking up the price?

I don't think this is going to replace any RSX that's out there. Too bad that's all you guys get in Canada!
