Should I?

I installed my short shifter and I love it. But I was wondering if i could cut it down a bit because it still seems very high compared to others I have seen. I want to take a saw to and make it lower. the third pic shows how low I want it. At my pinky finger or the bottom of the shift knob. Thanks for the input.

Re: Should I?

Did you put the console back first? Wouldn't that make it look lower? But anyway, I suppose if there isn't anything inside the shaft and you are able to still put a shift knob on there then I don't see why you couldn't.

yea i did put the console back in, and it is noticably shorter but not enough for me. the original one did not have any threading on it. i have an after market shift knob that is held in by alan screws. i guess this will be added to my long list of things to do
