Re: Think these will fit?

Well I know that 275/45/17 fit from a Mustang (not sure what the offset is). They fit just fine in the front with no steering issues, however, in the back the outside of the tires hit the fender just a little when the shocks are compressed (again, might be able to get fixed with a different offset.) I know that these were only 17" wheels, but still.....275's are massively wide tires, and I could not believe that they fit on the car and actually worked (kinda). I too am looking at some 245/40/18 and am a little curious if they will fit with the Eiback Proline drop kit. I think it will be a very tight squeeze, but I have a feeling something can be figured out to make it work. I will find out for sure next spring when I finally get the wheels I want. What I dont understand is that if the car can use an 18x8 wheel, why cant you put the widest tire on it?

Re: Think these will fit?

I have 235/45/17 on 17x8 +38 wheels and they don't rub. I'm also lowered with Eibach sportlines. You might be pushing it with a 245 though. Probably would have to cut off those black boxes in the front wheel wells.

I have 225/40R18 and they rub slightly at steering wheel lock to the right.

Re: Think these will fit?

A lot of times the rubbing is surface scratching that sounds worse than it is. More often than not, the tires hit the plastic mud boards/trim in side the wheel-well. Hacking those can give you enough clearence most of the times. Or, you could always have your fenders rolled (doesnt cost that much).

Re: Think these will fit?

One of my new friends in Florida is running 235/35/19 on his GT and he has no problems. It isnt dropped or anything, and I am not sure of the offset, but it looks pretty good.
