stall speed

what should the stall speed be on a 96 bravada 4.3 with the 4l60e be mine is seems to be high

I am not sure to be exact. Its anywhere from 1800 - 2100 if I am correct. I am not sure, its in that range. Are you sure you have a high stall, or is the tranny slipping.? Did you change the tranny from another truck with a different engine. Trannies might be the same on different cars and trucks, but depending on various options, they do have different stall speeds.
