It's owned by Frank Seldorf (sp?), but it visits Turner Motorsports sometimes.

I can't remember why the headlight covers are off. Maybe getting them repolished?

It's owned by Frank Selldorff, not Will Turner, so far as I know.

Your guy is a big fat liar.

hurst - Replace Will Turner with Frank Selldorff and you have it right.

The headlight cover incident is probably explained in this thread.

New photos of #007 - it's got no eyes....

Here's a more recent story about #007. I do hope the car is ok:

Re: Any idea where is this car located ?

Yea the headlight covers were off after some servicing by my uncle at tms. He never knew that there would be such an uproar about the missing covers. joking, but he did see the old thread, I assume through Drew or maybe even me so he knew people were asking.

I hadn't heard about the parking garage incident but i do know that he does sometimes keep it in a garage so it wouldnt suprise me. I had to "guard" that car at limerock in 2003 at a car show on Sunday of the Speed World Challenge race and you wouldn't believe what some idiots were doing when taking pictures... sitting on the car, leaning, etc. Some people didnt show much common sense.

Honestly I forget the exact story as it did happen a few years ago, but it had something to do with servicing. Its possible they werent fastened correctly and one flew off, so they removed both. You could be right, but I know the root of it was some service that was being done to the car at the time.

Re: Any idea where is this car located ?

I never heard of them flying off. The way I remember it the plastic lenses were backordered from McLaren in the UK and instead of the car being laid up we re-assembled the headlight cassettes without them.

EDIT: in fact you can see the car in our old shop with the headlights removed: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/imag...acility_f1.jpg

Re: Any idea where is this car located ?

Yes, but why were they needing to be replaced in the first place? Because one flew off?

I remember the adhesive underneath the lens was coming apart and moisture was getting inside. I don't remember ever hearing about the lenses flying off.
