rad fans-sometimes work no good
01 caravan 3.3,about every 3-4 days the rad fans will act crazy,in that they will run constantly(except when the key is out)I have read alot about them running constantly to the point of draining the battery, but that seems to happen all the time for them.Mine seems fine for 2-3 days cycling when they should, and then they will do the run thing for the whole day.The next day back to normal.checked all grounds and are ok, could it be the fan relay or bcm.Any help is most appreciated.

Re: rad fans-sometimes work no good
Such irradic operation is very frustrating during the trouble shooting process. When mine failed, first it kept the fans on continuously after turning off the key. Then, after removing the fan fuse for 15 minutes and putting back in, the fans did not restart, until I replaced the fan relay. Given the delicateness of the solid state relay for these fans, I suspect your relay is ready to die and is in the process of doing a "death rattle". Good luck and let us know what happens.

Re: rad fans-sometimes work no good
I've replaced the fan relay twice on my 98. The dealer did it first under some recall, then I did it 2 years later. Both times they stopped working when the ac went on
