Brake Job pitfals?

I'm about to do the front pads on my '97 LXi. Anyone have any good/bad experience - or is it straight forward?

Just watch how the little clips, don't know what they are called, are positioned on each end of the shoe. A friend of my daughter tried to redo her brakes and didn't watch how the clips were positioned and she had to carry her car to a shop to get it serviced correctly.

Re: Brake Job pitfals?

Stay away from cheap pads( from AutoZone and Advanced),they do not last and I have heard of this. Also get the rotors turned,I have heard this complaint a lot:I hear a thumping sound after replacing the pads, the rotors are warped.Turning the rotors is a part of a brake job
