what car did this motor come from
hi i need to know what car the motor i swaped into my car came from. the motor is a sohc zc non vtec the stamp on it is zc 3105752 snaped a valve cover stud and i thought it was the same as the d16 but it isint.thanks.

Just go to a fastener store and buy a new stud.

That's weird. So you're saying that your sohc zc non-vtec has a different valve cover bolt configuration than a usdm d16a6?

yeah its weird the zc's stud treads alltheway down through the head its like 3 or for inches of thread goin towards the block

Try one from the older d series that came in the tegs, the odd ball ones- I would assume that would be the closest related to the zc.

its not just about this valve cover stud i would like to know what it was out of so i dont have to deal with all the morons at the part stores when i try to explain the motor was swaped in (they never seem to get it do they) i need a few gaskets here and there and everything i get seems to be wrong

Parts stores usually arnt going to carry stuff like that anyway. As far as gaskets, most d series gaskets will work, just search the forums- its all been covered before.
