body lift
i have an 05' wrangler sport mtx, and its all stock right now.. im first gonna put a body lift on it.. would i be better off putting a 2 or 3 inch lift on it. like will it look awkward with the stock wheels and will it look too top heavy with the 3 inch or would i be safer to go with the 2

Re: body lift
1"and 1" only. 90% of the people here will agree that is the highest you should go.

Re: body lift
Look into a 2" suspension lift. Very reasonably priced and looks great.

Re: body lift
I would not put more than 1". Anymore looks cheap and can cause linkage problems.

Re: body lift
The first thing you will need to plan is "what do I want to do with my Jeep" if you want to off-road it and lift it look at what size tires you want to install. That will probably be the biggest factor (remember the higher you go the more un-stable on turns). I currently have 31" tires with a 2.5" lift. I am planning to install 33" tires and maybe go to a 3" to 4" lift. The only thing that I have to consider is 'do I want to have to lower the transfer case, tranny and install extra linkage to the suspension. I think that I will be installing a 1" body lift to my already 2.5" suspension lift with minor adjustments to transfer case and suspension.
As you can see there are many things to consider before lifting your Jeep. Try a 1" body lift then if you want to add to it you can. Have fun and do your homework. Happy Jeepin
