sticky caliper

Hi all, I have an 02 PI that all of a sudden has developed a sticky caliper on the drivers side front. Short of replacing the caliper, is there anything that can be done for this? Thank you

Hey Kev. Have you checked the caliper slides and pins? Rust on these can cause a caliper to have some problems.

they looked ok when I did the brakes and rotors but I guess some anti-seize can never hurt. I didn't have any when I did the brakes. Thank you

A deteriorated flex line can also cause this.

You should check this out I have had many people come to the garage with a smoking rotor because of this if your guides aren't sticking and your hoses are good as was suggested buy rebuilt calipers it got to the point a rebuild kit was close to a rebuilt caliper and only available at the dealer. If you wait to long.Then you need a new rotor also maybe two.

I took them apart and anti siezed the slides as well as checked the lines. It seems to have improved greatly so I am keeping an eye on it. Thank you
