So I bought an 04

So this week I made a purchase on a 2004 Silverado Regular Cab Z-71 with the 5.3. I'm sure I will have many more questions to come but right now my question is how do I change the info. display from showing "Driver 2" and instead showing "Driver 1". Not that it really hurts anything but its just something that I'd like to change if it's possible/easy. I asked someone that I work with how he changes his (same exact truck) and he said he does it with the controls in the steering wheel which i do not have. Thanks

Did the truck come with an owner's manual?

I think it depends on the remote, could be wrong. My grandpa's 03 avalance does the same thing with the #2 remote. Also with the #2 remote it saves all of the memory's like the seat, etc.

Re: So I bought an 04

Thanks for the replies. The truck did not come with an owner's manual so the dealer stole one from one of their 03's but I'm sure things have changed between the years so I didnt find much in it. As for using the other Key/Remote, it only came with one and yes, the one I am using does say "2" on it. My first thought was that the remote/key was the exact reason it said Driver 2 but I wasnt sure. I guess Ill have to stick with it sayin Driver 2 for now until I come across a fix. Thanks again.
