head unit piece?

i searched the forums and online, but i'm not exactly sure what the part i need is called. i have a 2000 nissan sentra and i installed a new pioneer head unit, but i need that part that fills the gap around it. i don't have any pictures, but i figured anyone who installed a new head unit like this will know what i mean? any links to the part i'm looking for would be appreciate. thanks

Just stop by the nearest audio store and have them order it for you. I think mine was around 15 dollars.

i know what you are talking about. you must mean the install kit thingy. the plastic thingy. honestly its not worth your 20 bucks. when u get it you will see what i mean. well, for me it was a waste since my brackets were taken out from the owner before me and i cant seem to find ones that fit it for my kenwood deck.

I had a car audio place install mine with my head unit. It looks like it came stock with the car, they did a great job.

same here. but its called good luck if i run over a pot hole or something. the deck will literaly sink into the dash.....that means removing 2 panels and fixing it in 30 sec. i think imma try and get bestbuy when the free installed it, get the brackets to work and *hit. grab a pic of it pro, as the inside trims are the same throughout 00-03.

when you install the head unit, you are supposed to screw the bracket into the head unit (same one botled on to the stock radio) so it doesn't move.

theres no holes in the dash where the stock unit was is what im saying. i fixed it by puttin a crappy cd case with a crappy cd in the dash under my deck. seems to work quite nicely. btw, the cd of choice was boyz in blue(slim thug's clique or somethin)
