so i went on a date yesterday and had a good time. shes 23 and im 27. i thought we wouldnt have much to talk about, since i dont really know her, but it went really well. we had dinner then a few drinks. showed her my house(since we were across the street) then brought her home. i went for a kiss in a hug kinda way and she just went for the hug. i think im actually happy she did since most girls i meet lately would of been making out with me and i probably wouldnt respect her as much. anyway, anyone else think dates are just so wierd? you go out to dinner, etc... of coarse you get to know the person blah blah blah, but there is gotta b something more fun than the run of the mill date. any thoughts? im far from a rookie at dating, but dinner/movie shit is really getting old.

Meh. Dating can be frustrating. Same old stuff wears on you. Its never good to be in a rut. Just try to take advantage of different things when they come up. Go to a comedy club. I took a girl with me to see Dave Chappelle last month. Are there any interesting sights around where you live? I went for a tour of sights around downtown chicago last week and it was a fun and interesting time... cheap too

I hate the basic wine and dine that everybody seems to do. Why does it have to be dinner and a movie? I guess society as a whole is lazy.

Really though, do you learn much about somebody in a movie and while you're eating? Not really.

Why not just ask her to go somewhere? I mean most people won't consider it a date but a date is really just getting to know somebody and being with them.

Say you need a second opinion when you go to the mall to buy new clothes.

You could tell her you need groceries and want her to go along.

How about a walk in the park (or beach whichever is closer)? It's free, you get some fresh air, and it's very peaceful.

What about going to a zoo or aquarium? I mean chicks love animals and cute fish.

It's football season so you could go to a game with her. I mean if you live near your old high school you could ask her to go because you'd like somebody to be there in case you don't know anybody. If anything else you can sit in the stands and talk with her.

Any of these things sound good to me. As long as you're with the girl, getting to know them, and most importantly she likes being with you, it doesn't matter really where you go.

those are some good ideas, the comedy club sounds like the best idea. chapelle? damn that'd b sick, but i dont think he does shows around here. true about the movie thing, i dont even go that route anymore, but at dinner, we did talk alot. too bad i didnt eat most of my food tho!!the park is an idea since i have a pitbull that we could bring. maybe like minigolf or some gay shit. thatd probably b fun...keep em coming! by the way, i live near hartford, connecticut. not really much to see there..

the wine an dine thing brought back a memory, we know a guy whose parents were in the SOE (look it up) and this guy's mother was a secret agent in WWII, and she used to go on "dates" with high-ranking german officers, then kill them.

it was always said that she "wined them and dined them and shot them"
