1996 sunfire is giving me headlight problems

hey, my 1996 sunfire, 3 speed, 2.0, 4 door has been giving me some serious problems... first i had to get my alternator done, then a my second gear in the tranny went on me... big things aside... my interior top light in my car shorted out when i got the car back from the tranny shop... as well as my day time running lights don't work now... i bought bulbs from the car to see if there was 2 different lights that worked for daytime and night time lights... however when i came back from canadain tire i found out that both lights are controlled by one light... anyway recently my day time running lights just started to work... but they won't shut off... then this morning i went out and the daytime lights wouldn't work at all again... has anyone extperience this problem... Help me please...

Thanks Steve

Re: 1996 sunfire is giving me headlight problems

Read this thread. Myself and others have had this problem and a solution is mentioned that worked for me. It is an issue with corroded wires. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=1#post4109705

i found my corroded wire close to the main wiring harness. I had to pull out the left front tire wall to get at it. It was corroded to the point where it just crumbled as soon as I touched it
