Question VTC's

My wife and I just purchased a 94 J30. We are very happy with the car but with a few concerns. Is there an aftermarket replacment for the vtc's? Nissan wants 500.00 each for these. What do they do? average life? We bought it at 133k and no known records of it. What is a good life for the tranny? What is the difference in a j30t and j30? Any helpfull suggestions would be greatly apprectiated.Jason

The "t" model has beefed suspension... its proving costly for me however, $400 per strut X 2... nice thing is my J30t is at 155k miles without any major problems with engine or tranny *knock on wood*... the only major replacement is the suspension... i've got Stillen Intake Kit coming soon so the car should be even more of a blast to drive! Take care of your car with proper maintenance and it will last you a long time.
