Cool gearshift whistle

I couldn't find a similar thread. I have a 92 Cadillac Deville with only 86000 miles. It sometimes will whistle from the dash area when it is placed in gear. Sometimes it does not start to whistle until driven a short distance. However, a temporary cure is to put the car in neutral and back in gear. This almost always cures the whistle until the car is shut off. It has been a very intermittent problem until recently and now it occurs almost everytime it is started and placed into gear. It never whistles in park or neutral which makes it hard for me to trace.

Re: gearshift whistle

If you got no idea where the problem is coming from, try your dealer.
