Wip: 2.. maybe 3?! JGTC/Super GT Skyline GTRs

Right now i have two GTRs kits .. Xanavi Nismo GT-R (R34) Special Edition and Pennzoil GT-R(R34). A third kit might come in if i have the time... and it would be a Calsonic GT-R(R34). All three kits are from Tamiya and all have been through the Super GT or what it was called JGTC.

Sanded and Primed body... so far i think its really clean for my standards.In fact i think its the cleanest body i done up to date..

Ok small update... Paint is done... decals are setting.. after which ill do touch ups..
Masked the parts that are suppose to be red then spray a thin layer of clear to prevent bleeding.. then proceeded to do the black trim.. middle pillar has been laid with high defi CF ... sadly very hard to see from pictures..
Paint : Italian Red ; Silver side = 2 layers of silver leaf followed by gloss aluminum

Looking good. Good luck with both (or all three) of your WIP's. I'm meaning to do this some time but you're doing it all at once . Are you going to make a big base for all three or just gonna have them as seperate builds?

little update... really pissed off by the decals! they are super thin .. and they melt on the 2nd coat of decal softer.. i swear it really pissed me off.. i was a 1 min away from throwing the whole body away.. and buying a new one After working with the DTM kits.. i expected the same kind of decals from tamiya.. BUT NOOOO they had to make it so thin... i actually can tear two decals. Managed to calm myself down and take out my spare Xanavi Z decal sheet and cut out some decals to cover over the holes on the decals..
I had to change to a different technic of applying decals.. i first laid the decals in place.. let them dry normally in room temperature follow by a light coat of decal softer to let it conform to the body and then slowly bit by bit using my tooth pick and cotton bud sticks to do touch ups.. of course these were first dipped in water.
Here are some pictures of the touch up parts.. not perfect but hopefully after clearcoating it would look good.. if not im gonna get a new kit to redo the body.

i agree with the decals. i managed to tear the red stripes at the back of the car after it wouldn't conform even with micro sol.

Xanavi body is done.. touch ups are finished to the best of my ability.

Thanks all for the feedback..! It has given me encouragement to do them up. Today a great day for modelling. Being more cautious about the decals have made me produce a perfect model so to speak , the paint was good although i had to respray abit here and there due to sanding down to level the paint. Decals on the pennzoil were laid perfectly.. no troubles

Minor update..
The cars have been cleared and polished
I made a small mistake by painting the wing of the pennzoil black when its suppose to be yellow Will be repainting it tmr. Enjoy the shine!
