'91 skylark 2.5 question
I have a '91 skylark that is not starting. I am getting no spark and no fuel through the injector. I pulled off the gas line under the hood and theres fuel.
Before it decided not to run in was running rough and stalling occationaly, some times not starting. I had the ignition module tested and it's good. I need to know what will cut off the fuel and spark? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: '91 skylark 2.5 question
I have the same car and identical problems because mine would shut itself off at different times it was never constant. So I had the fuel pump replaced because I could'nt here it turn on. I had the ignition module tested which came out fine. It came to be the crank position sensor that went bad in mine. All I can say is to take it to a garage have them diagnosis whether it is the fuel pump or the crank position sensor because it ran me $550 for both to be installed.

Thank you so much for your reply. We knew the fuel pump was working, so I took your advice and had the crank sensor changed just yesterday and it fired right up, ran for a hour without stalling. I tried it again this morning and it fired right up again. I do belive the problem has been solved. Again thank you so much for your help.
