Does a 2002 cavalier aut. transmission 2.2 motor fix in a 1992 3.1 Pontiac Grand Prix or a 2.8 1988 Beretta? Im getting one for just a $100.00. Please reply soon. Thanks, Raymond

Re: Transmission Need Help Fast
The Ecotec Cavy has a 4T45E (MN4) autotransaxle. The '92 GP with 3.1L uses a 4T60E (M13). They are totally different transmissions. Obviously the 4T45E is the weaker one. From what I know the 4T45E will bolt up to the 3.1L engine but the axle shafts are different, wiring is different, the way the ECM module controls the tranny is different and the tranny mounts. For $100 I'd buy it and then try to resell it for a higher amount to get the right transmission.
