Onstar/ Bluetooth cell phone

I have a bluetooth enabled cell phone and I believe I have heard that I can connect this to the handsfree capabilities of the onstar system, not using onstar but using my cell phone and the speaker/mic parts of the onstar. Does anyone know about this and have any information
