I hope someone can hellp. 95 Maxima. Starting issue

I have a 95 Maxima. It's not starting. No sound. Nothing. Put a charger on it. It reads a full charge. I tried to jump it with another car. Nothing.
I have had issues with the power locks. I can't unlock the driver door with my key. Only the passenger side.
On two other occasions, this same thing happened. I had to close the car, lock it, Unlock it and then it started. I don't know if the two are connected or not.
Bear with me, I am a working mom, kind of desperate.
I have had problems in the past as well with needing to charge this battery also. I'm kind of stuck . I can't crank it to get it to the garage!
Thank you so much.

- how dash lights behave? do lights come on?
- check all fuses (left side of steering column) & fusible links (under hood, blk box)
- if automatic: move shift lever, maybe that switch is stuck or broken
- ask neigbours to push into garage

Re: I hope someone can hellp. 95 Maxima. Starting issue

Thanks for your quick response. All lights are working fine. I tried the gear shift. It didn't make any difference.
There was a lot of corrosion on one of the terminals. It was cleaned thoroughly but to no avail.
I had a friend try and start it as I was outside at the hood. It made a click sound.
As far as the fuses, what fuse should I be looking for?

Forget the fuses.

If the clicking sound comes from down/front between batt/engine (listen as hood open), then that is starter solenoid trying to make contact. Then...

Either solenoid contacts are burned (needs new) and/or for some reason current doesnt freely flow to starter. Typically batt to ground &starter contacts corrode and have to be cleaned/renewed; see page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/5 also check page10&14.

Starters will die after every '150kmiles' in 'normal use'... have to be replaced/repaired.

also if there is no clicking sound the brushes in the starter are worn out

Re: I hope someone can hellp. 95 Maxima. Starting issue

Solenoid makes the click as/if/when key is turned, inhibitors etc allowing minuscle ctrl current flow to solenoid coil.

Solenoid Coil magnetizes, drawing the solenoisd/contactor contacs close =clic.

Now After 'the click', high 500Amp current starts to flow to motor brushes via the closed contacts (if not burned). No click =current never flows to brushes =whocaresifanybrushes...

Yes, brushes have to be ok before startermotor may turn...

nope.

no1. is solenoid.

Btw. There can be only one no.1

if no pwr delivery via solenoid, no amount of brushes wont hlp. pls go tst verify by takin solenoid out =nothin happens with -or- without brushes...

yes good brushes are imperative for motor to turn.

yes solenoid also works bendix
