Hello from new guy

Hello all. Just acquired a 2000 Blazer, 2dr, 4X4, 85K, ZR2 package. This will be foul weather counter-part to my '88 'vette.

Was told about this forum by Mike2004tct (thanks Mike )

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as we dig into this thing.

I'll post some pics in a few days (if the Wisconsin weather ever clears up - might be april at this point )

Wonder if that real nice Ranger is still available

Ah well, I have a C4 corvette, I'm pretty used to having to fix stupid stuff on a regular basis - but it would be helpful if I was a little less mechanically challenged. I'm learning though - one repair at a time.

Welcome new guy and all the brains are here on the Blazer forum not the Ranger.

Don't scare him like that.
At least he's a few years advanced (truck-wise) than the majority of problems in here. (Bob, for your sake, let's hope all the Blazer gotchas have been taken care of).

Never fear though, any problems you post here will most likely have been experienced by some other member.

Re: Hello from new guy

First thing to do is spend money to save money.

Get all 10-11 grease fittings greased with the weight off of the front wheels.

Jack up one side, grease, then jack up the other side and grease.

Re: Hello from new guy

For sure! =D

That is one thing for sure I would replace as well. Radiator cap should be replaced with anything that is NOT ACdelco.
