Another power slider problem
Greetings,
New problem for you Trans Sport gurus. The power sliding door on my 94 has been working great. Great until it couldn't seem to find the lock signal or what ever it takes to finish closing the door. When I push the button the door shuts all the way to making contact with the body, but doesn't do the final closing lock. It reopens it self and refuses to shut completely. It closes manually and is definately shut but the light on the dash doesn't go off. I noticed there are what appears to be electrical plungers on the door. Are these switches?. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, bystander |

Re: Another power slider problem
Hi,
Try to reset the door by doing this: Close the door. Shut the power door "off" at the overhead console. Take the "Tail" fuse out. Wait for at least 30 s. Open and close the door manually. Put the fuse back. Turn the power door "on" at the overhead console. Hopfully, the power door should work properly. If not, try all one more time. If it still does not work, I have to look deaper inte the service manual to be able to help you. |

Re: Another power slider problem
Possibly something hung up in door track or door jam.

Re: Another power slider problem
Wow, it worked. Thank you nicke66 for your resent instructions. It worked first time. Thank you also LEW--C for your suggestion. I think it was debris that caused the problem. I pulled it out but by then the door had become confused. Thanks
