93 lesabre steering problem

Hi. I recently replaced the engine cradle, control arms, rack and pinion, and front left strut on my lesabre due to an accident. However, whenr I turn hard right or hard left, it makes a grinding/clinking noise. It then will pull whatever directon I turned it in, untill I correct it by turing hard in the other direction. (Eg: If I turn hard left, my car will pull to the left quite a bit, untill I turn hard right, and it seems to correct itself.)

Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
