Re: wiring question

ok, is it the dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm ?

He is asking how to "jumper" the sub for the right impedance - it has 2 voice coils

Re: wiring question

its the dual 2 ohms. i called alpine and they told me that theres no way to get the power out of it with it the combination they told me i had to either get another 2 ohms sub like it or get another amp... so i guess my next question is which would be better to get another sub that matches and wire them both in 1 ohms so they would add up to a 2 ohms load and have around 300 rms on both. or get 2 of the type s subs and have max rms on them? so bascially what it boils down to is will it effect it very much as far as sound with them under powered a little bit

Re: wiring question

if you have to go with that amp get the type s because something that is getting it's max rms will sound better then one only getting about half of it's rms.
