aUSTRALIA TO DRIVE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE
It has been announced by the Australian Transport minister that in order to maximise the model range available to Australian road users, Australia will switch to the American/European standard of driving on the right hand side of the road.

The Australian Motor Trade Association has voiced concerns that existing vehicles may be disadvantaged,and concerns voiced by the Australian Automobile Association that a sudden change could cause a rise in accident rates and insurance costs.Accordingly,the minister has decreed there will be a two-year phase-in period whereby trucks and buses only will switch to the new arrangements,and if this proves successful,private vehicles will follow suit.
