Rear Antilock

Hello everybody,

lately my 89 3,0L Aerostar started to show the Rear Antilock light on the dashboard. During driving it comes for few seconds and disappears. Sometimes several times during a short ride. And sometimes nothing during days.
What can be the problem and does it affect driving?
