Greenday Discussion
i'm just making a discussion thread here, we already had a Tool discussion go very well.
anybody else out there into Greenday at all? I'm listening to the American Idiot album i bought about 2 years ago and really just digging it at the moment, thought i'd just talk a bit about them. Imo, they're the best pop/punk band out there, better than even Blink. I liked blink, especially older blink, but they just became too emo-sounding during and after enema. Even greenday wasn't immune, this American Idiot album is pretty good, and pretty political, but honestly Boulevard is really getting on my nerves. It's catchy, its got a nice message, but honestly its also pretty emo, and the fact that its aired more than janet's right titty is really annoying. also, "St. Jimmy" is fucking sick live. Dookie was where it was at. I love that album a lot, and think it was Greenday's best work. My favorite song i think is "When I Come Around". any input?

Moronic lyrics and shitty sound. They are one of the few bands where I go out of my way to turn off if I hear them.

^that's kind of where i stand, though i do think american idiot was pretty good, it is ridiculously overrated.
where do u stand on shenanigans? i didn't like it much.
