3000GT vs New Civic Si

I don't ever get races, and when I do, no matter how lame, I post! ON TO THE RACE! I was cruising around with my friend, instigating, didn't matter if it was a semi or a minivan, I was rev'in at it...I figured i'm gettin a race today! So i'm going about 45 when I spot a brand new Civic Si..not the fastest thing, but better than a minivan! So I catch up and downshift high into 2nd at about 65 right next to him, lettin off the BOV up in his grill. I shift into 3rd and pace half a car in front of him at about 45 waiting to see if he responds. Which to my surprise he does!!! I hear a downshift and VTEK POWAH! So I let him get bumper to bumper before I hit it, still in 3rd (no downshift so it's a little fair), stops his pull immediately and I gradually but exponentially pull away as the boost builds!!! Now I know what you're thinking..."well no shit you won, you have a VR4 against a Civic"..But that is not the point of this, the point is I finally raced something that is halfway considered sporty!!!!! I have had the worst luck possible all summer when it comes to pulling up next to anything decently fast.

Glad to here your finally getting some races in. It seems like recently no 3/S guys have been happy with who they are racing.

Re: 3000GT vs New Civic Si

hahah, man I havent done that in a while, its always fun seeing the looks on people's faces when I rev at them, whether I'm in a truck or my slow ass car, they're in a SUV, or a Mustang GT or Camaro, it's fun seeing how they react.

Congrats on getting a race and a kill, and for getting me in the mood to go revving at people.

Rofl, you should've just slammed it into second and given him some thought about our "boats".

And from the way it's looking now, we'll soon be in the 8's. Have you seen what Matt M. is doing to his car? If I remeber correctly, I do believe that I've heard the phrases "3.7l" and "stroker" in between mind boggling changes that he's making.

Re: 3000GT vs New Civic Si

I only have issues finding races when my car is broken. Actually, no, I can find them, I just can't do much. Give me a week, I do have every intention of getting pulled over at least once street racing the day I get it running right.

It really must be your areas, because i can literally pull out of my driveway, take 2 turns in teh first mile, and I'll be racing something.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Yeah I was just tailing one of the Crossfires yesterday, thought I was gonna get him to go cuz we were going about 90 when I pulled around next to him on the highway, but he just backed off...oh well.
