Blower motor resistor

I have a 2002 cavi, and was just wondering if anyone else has had to replace their Blower motor resistor. This will be the thrid time I have had to replace mine. Is this a GM fault, or am I just that unlucky. I wonder if there is a more permenate fix. Possibly a resistor off another GM? year? I find it ironic that the wifes car (2002 cavi) has had more service than my 1993 MX6.

Re: Blower motor resistor

Replace the blower motor resistor for first time in my 97 cavalier. Used an after-market one from autozone, installed Aug 06. I guess i'll see how long it lasts, though I doubt i'll keep the car much longer......year?

Re: Blower motor resistor

its a very common problem, do a search, theres been probably 10 threads about it in the last month or 2,

and theres nothing "ironic" about that, thats just what you get for owning a cavalier
