2001 DX coup speaker sizes?

I know i have 6"x9" in the rear but i don't know about the front ones, and since i already bought the wrong sized speakers for the rear, costing me $30, i don't want to make the same mistake on the front speakers.

every other person that asked this question has been directed to crutchfield.com, from what i've seen. i tried using there site but ran into a problem.

three different speaker sizes are showing up. 6x9, 5.25", and 6.5" are all present. since 6x9 goes in the rear the front must be either 5.25 or 6.5

so which one is it? 5.25" or 6.5" in the front?

in that case, the sales person also sold me the wrong front speakers...

he said 6.5 in the back and 5 in the front, which might actually fit the sedan not the coupe??

i'll call the dealership though just to be 1000000% sure this time.

the aftermarket speakers that i buy should be the exact same size as the stock speakers, correct? i ask this because i once heard a person say a certain sized aftermarket speaker equalled a certain sized stock speaker, which would mean there's a difference in mearsurement between the two. this person was probably confused

If you go to crutchfield and put your car info into the "what fits m car" app it will tell you all the sizes that can fit your car, with and without adapters. its very usefull, even if you dont buy from them (even though i recommend that too).

for the record, both 5.25 and 6.5 fit in the front. the same amount of work is required to install the two different sizes, so one might as well go with the 6.5 (unlike me =<...fucking soundsaround...)

How did you remove the rear grill covers? Do you have to remove the whole rear panel?
