2001 AWD - No High Blower
I have an 01 AWD with no high speed htr/ac blower speed. There is no voltage to the blower motor with the switch to high. I cannot find any hi-speed relay. Other than the switch, what else can it be?
Thanks Tim |

Re: 2001 AWD - No High Blower
you have to remove the washer and coolant bottles. the relay is built into the resistor assembly.

Re: 2001 AWD - No High Blower
http://www.wdautoparts.com Will drop ship, (part #DR779) to your door for $30.05 USD. The replacement module is an improved design and requires a slight modification to the evaporator housing. The module comes with detailed instructions for the modification. It's done with a dremel tool in about 5 minutes. The whole job takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Re: 2001 AWD - No High Blower
I found the sealant GM used on the resistor/relay module ate some of the printed wiring on the board.
I soldered on replacement wire and it works fine. A bit of trouble following the missing printed wire though. |

Problem cured
I bought a service manual CD off Ebay and the wiring diagram showed the AC/HTR 30 amp fuse in line with the only 12v supplied to the relay when activated. Just a fuse. The schematic sure does make life a lot easier. Thanks All Tim |
