hard to sell your car

man just to vent a little ive been trying to sell my car for a couple weeks and i get nothing someone wants to trade a motorcycle or they just dont come and look at it, man it sucks. i bought the car as a piece of shit and now other than some body work its awesome. i wouldnt sell it but i need something i can drive my son around in cause hes afraid to ride in it with my rfl and stuff. and i just cant see parting out something that really with a little body work and paint would be almost brand new. but anyhow it sucks trying to sell a car

Re: hard to sell your car

Well, if you do part out, let me know on the 255 and clutch.

Does the RFL really scare him? For some reason I find this funny as hell.

Re: hard to sell your car

Yeah, how much would you want for it? I know that a handful of guys that would love to have a DSM, especially already moded. Maybe location has to do with the reason you find it hard selling?

Re: hard to sell your car

im asking 2,500 for it. i even have over 3k in reciepts with the car in the past 3 months hell the only thing that isnt new on the car is the shocks and springs ive replaced all the ball joints, tie rods, gaskets, put a brand new head on it, i put all new interior in it looks like it came off the showroom inside. ive only put maybe 500 miles on it since i rebuilt the car.

yea the rfl scares the hell out of him he cries and stuff so i dont have a car to take him around in cause i feel bad.

Re: hard to sell your car

Shit man, not to be a douche, but you dont sell a car you've dropped 3 grand into over the summer because it scares your kid. If it were that big of a deal, you would get a 1g BOV or something. Why are you really trying to sell it?

Re: hard to sell your car

there really isnt any reason im selling the car other than i really want something else to tune with a 240 a rx7 or something similar. my wife bitches about the car sometimes cause i dont drive it very much and stuff. i love the car i do its fast its fun and it gets alot of attention but its time to move on. i have a 1g blow off valve also but i bought the rfl for a reason. i mean i invite any of you guys down to see it and hang out. blackcrow you live in salem its not that far from hubbard ohio come down and check it out tell the guys im serious, hell im leaving thursday to go to the nopi nationals. my main thing is im still in school i only work part time right now and it seems no matter how much money you stick in these cars they never last that long.

Re: hard to sell your car

Ahhh, I see. Sorry, I didnt mean to be a jackass, but the person that was selling my car sold it for some lame ass reason like it got too shitty of gas milage or something so they put it on the lot and the hg went during a test drive. Heres what I have found out after working on this car: it had a big 16, a 2g exhaust mani, and a BS elim kit so it was obviously modded and probably abused. Well, while abusing it they blew a headgasket which dumped coolant into the oil. The fucked up oil contributed to the rod bearing spinning and the slight clicking set them off on that. So they check the oil and BAM its like cappucino. So they change the oil, put all the stock parts back on they could and advertise it as a car with lifter tick and a recently popped head gasket. I buy it and fix it oblivious to the fact that the rod bearing is soon going to be in the oil pan. Then I fix the head gasket and drive it which furthers the rod bearings death and there you go, the bearing is now in the oil pan and due to the extra upward movent because of no bearing and the rediculously decked head, my number 2 piston is banging on the head. Yay DSM and fucking douche bags selling them. So thats why I was skeptical when there was sort of a weak reason especially after so much work. Its cool you are going to a RX or a 240 though, I love those cars. Know what I would do? Get a 240 shell and buy the front cut from an older Skyline with the RWD 2.0 I6 turbo. The front cut is like $2000-$2200 shipped and has everything you need to put it in a 240, engine, mounts, tranny, turbo, ECU, shift cables, everything. In fact they say that if you put a battery in the front cut and attach a fuel source it will run. Also, the 2.0 I6 is a direct bolt in with the Skylines mounts. Sounds like a pretty bitchin car for like $3000.

Re: hard to sell your car

no its cool i understand it sounds like you got a pretty shitty deal. i really want a rx7 ive only ever seen 2 on the street one this kid whos mommy and daddy just bought it for him that lives around here and one was in california. but then again theres a guy around here that has the only 240 with a sr20 swap and its fast but very ugly.

i really didnt stick a ton of work on the car a couple hours of pressure washing the engine bay, rebuilding the engine with a new head and lots of good stuff, and redoing the whole interior cause when i got it, it only had one seat and stuff, but its fun to do its what i do for a living and i love it. the best part is when you do all this work and it looks great and it drives nice you get all these looks and people ask you a ton of questions when you pull on there 69 camaro. but i love the rwd and i want to go back
